چکیده
Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is a complication of latent varicella-zoster virus infection, and considered as form herpes zoster (HZ) occurring in the otic region. Although skin lesions HZ usually appear along only one or two dermatomes, it occasionally disseminated patients with decreased immunity. Here we report rare case RHS developing an immunocompetent young adult. A 16-year-old healthy man complained left-sided facial weakness accompanied otalgia, vesicles on left ear, hearing loss, vertigo. famciclovir prednisolone was administered, his symptoms progressed hospitalized. Rashes all over body developed, dermatologist diagnosed infection. Quarantine commanded to prevent airborne transmission, administration antiviral drug steroid continued. The patient recovered without sequelae. important learning point this discrimination from eruption for clinical decision-making.
